After a day full of adventure, unwind with a celebratory beverage from one of Berks County’s finest. We’ve got an array of breweries and wineries that offer the perfect venue for drinks with friends, date nights, and day (and night) drinking.

Wineries

There are several notable wineries tucked within Berks County, Pennsylvania. 

Folino Estate Vineyard in Kutztown is an experience like no other. A Tuscan-style villa houses the winery, a tasting room, a full-service restaurant, banquet facilities, and a wonderful gift shop. Folino’s full calendar of events invites guests to the vineyard year-round to participate in yoga classes, murder mysteries, holiday celebrations, musical events, and its grape harvest. One visit to the vineyard is sure to result in many happy returns.

Clover Hill Vineyard and Winery has four retail locations throughout Pennsylvania, including Berks County. Clover Hill is known for its wide selection of wine, including many sparkling and non-traditional options. While you’re there, don’t forget to ask about their custom label options, which make for the perfect souvenir to bring back home. 

Deerfoot Vineyards and Winery in Shoemakersville is another local standout. Connected to a working farm and blueberry patch, Deerfoot prides itself on environmental stewardship. A truly local operation, Deerfoot has won numerous prestigious awards for their fresh flavors.

Berks County Wine Trail

The Berks County Wine Trail is a must for all wine lovers. The trail blazes a path (best traveled by car, taxi, or rideshare service) between 12 wineries in Berks County and beyond. Together, they offer a fantastic selection of regional wines and seasonal events. Travel the wine trail for a unique experience of wine tasting and shopping in the countryside you can’t find anywhere else. 

Breweries

Breweries in Reading, PA, are a destination all their own. Our local breweries and microbreweries are always eager to share their love for craft beer with visitors and locals alike. 

Independently owned Saucony Creek has two locations in the area – one in Reading, PA, and another in Kutztown. This brewery is dedicated to using Pennsylvania-produced malt, hops, and fruit for a truly local flavor. In addition to pilsners, IPAs, and other tasty beers, they also offer their own Saucony Hard Seltzer. 

Chatty Monks Brewing Company is another spot you’d be remiss to miss. After all, where else will you find homemade brews paired with Indian fusion cuisine? Chatty Monks offers a diverse selection of suds, both canned and on tap.
