Berks Heritage Council, brings together 41 historic sites, museums, and societies in Berks County, and features all these locations on “Treasures and Sounds of Historic Berks County” which airs every fourth Monday at 7:30 PM, on BCTV. Together, the collection will help you discover the diverse cultures and very special heritage of Pennsylvania’s Americana Region. Exploring each of the Council’s affiliates, you’ll find vintage railroad memorabilia, antique automobiles once manufactured right here in the region, folk art, fine art, frontier homesteads, covered bridges, mills, caves, iron furnaces and a rich collection of historic architecture. Learn the stories of Conrad Weiser, Daniel Boone, automotive pioneer Charles Duryea, novelist John Updike, Pennsylvania German culture, and more as you enjoy each location.
