Don’t miss the wildflowers as they herald the coming of spring in Monacacy Hill Recreation Area, a 428 acre forest located near Douglassville which features about 6 miles of forest trails open from dawn to dusk.  Park rules and trail maps, for one of the few natural open spaces remaining in the Amity area, are available at the park entrance on Geiger Road. Bring your breakfast and enjoy a serene meal while watching the sun come up over Monacacy Hill before taking the trails, equipped with location markers at quarter mile intervals, used by emergency responders to pinpoint the exact location of hikers anywhere in the park.
