Experience an authentic Guinness Irish Pub in Pennsylvania at the Ugly Oyster Drafthaus. Before starting his pub, owner Glen Rigg took formal classes with Guinness Brewery to learn what it takes to become an official sanctioned Guinness Irish Pub. He turned the oldest pub in the region, dating from the 1700s into today’s great atmosphere with a bar and appointments designed and constructed by highly skilled craftsmen and Yorkshire, England, who came over to install them. Enjoy small group intimacy among the private snugs tucked throughout or join others at the neighborhood bar — where soon, everyone will know your name.  Enjoy everything from a Reuben to a Malibu Grill Sandwich at this authentic pub!

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Berks County, PA

A truly authentic Guinness Irish Pub in Pennsylvania offering all the warmth of an Irish Neighborhood Pub.  The Ugly Oyster was built in Yorkshire, England by traditional English craftsmen. It was then disassembled, transported and reconstructed by those same craftsmen at its current location. The authentic Celtic atmosphere projects feelings of warmth and welcome. Savor our kitchen’s brilliant grilling recipes for USDA Prime Steak and catch of the day. Our chef’s unique flair is a pleasure not to be missed. The bar, of course, is stocked with more than 80 beers from all around the world. And the Guinness is always tapped to the strict specifications of Arthur Guinness himself.
