The VF Outlet Center in West Reading was one of America’s largest outlet malls and welcomed millions of shoppers since it first opened in 1970, according to The Morning Call. It expanded over the years and served as the go-to shopping destination in Berks County for many. The VF Outlet Center that opened in our region was America’s first multi-store center, which later grew into a chain with more than 60 locations. Shoppers found bargains at name brand stores including Lee, Wrangler, Riders, Nautica, Vanity Fair, Warner’s, Olga, Maidenform and others.
While the VF Outlet Center closed in December 2020 after 50 years of operation, there is still an abundance of shopping options in Pennsylvania’s Americana. From antique stores and boutiques to art galleries and thrift shops, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for AND more. Browse the list of shops in our area here.
